FREQUENTLY  ASKED  PAINTING  QUESTIONS

9.   On your DVD page, what do you mean by "clear & sharp freeze-frame ability"?

One of the least mentioned attributes of the DVD medium is its ability to pause, or "freeze-frame", with an undistorted still image.  When you try to pause an old VHS tape, the still image is very distorted and jittery--essentially useless as an image to refer to, while painting.

VHS TAPE "FREEZE-FRAME"

DVD "FREEZE-FRAME"

A DVD's ability to provide a clear, undistorted freeze-frame, makes it far easier to paint along with.  You can pause it at any point and have a clear, still image to refer to.  It is like having a book with thousands of large, still images to refer to.
